Our statistical team works with colleagues in the health economic modelling (HEM), review and evidence synthesis (RES), patient reported outcomes (PRO), and public health / NHS teams. Statisticians at YHEC undertake formal analysis of patient level data from either clinical trials or real world data sources, develop statistical analysis plans, critique analyses done by other consultancies, and develop utility estimates to be used in cost-effectiveness models. As well as analysing patient-level data, our statisticians can develop outputs using both direct and indirect evidence sourced from the literature using techniques such as meta-analysis and matching-adjusted indirect comparisons (MAICs).
Our statistical team are well versed in the statistical programming language R and R shiny and aid all teams at YHEC to develop bespoke interactive web-based interfaces for use in economic models and other statistical tools. An example of an interface developed by YHEC can be found here.
